Addictions Counseling – The Path To Recovery
Our partnerships and intimate relationships reflect how our past, our childhood and attachment, and trauma affects our present. Research from NIDA (National Institute of Drug Abuse) has shown that those either in active addiction or in recovery are more likely to achieve and maintain sobriety when they have a strong bond with their partner and a reliable community.
Whether you are struggling with addiction, contemplating or maintaining abstinence, or if you are the loved one of someone addicted, therapy is a wonderful path to exploring and repairing the relationships that may have faltered or weathered along the way. Here at Awakenings we have certified addictions specialists who will work with you (individually or as a couple) to help discover a path to understanding, recovery and strengthened intimate relationships.
Jennifer Foster Cooper, LCMHCA, LCASA is developing a new Addictions Counseling branch here at Awakenings!
