(She/Her/Hers)
Tracy Russell is an outpatient therapist in our Raleigh office who specializes in helping individuals and couples heal and reconnect emotionally during seasons of stress, transition, and disconnection. Warm, grounded, and deeply relational, Tracy integrates evidence-based therapy with compassionate, nonjudgmental care to help clients feel understood, supported, and more securely connected.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Tracy earned her Master of Social Work through the Joint MSW Program at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. She has pursued advanced specialty training in both couples therapy and maternal mental health and is known for her ability to help clients navigate emotionally complex seasons with clarity, empathy, and practical support.
Advanced Training & Specialties
After years in practice and growing her own family, Tracy developed a deep passion for maternal and parental mental health. She understands firsthand that the path to building a family can be both profoundly meaningful and unexpectedly painful. Fertility struggles, pregnancy complications, postpartum adjustment, parenting stress, and relationship strain can leave individuals and couples feeling isolated, overwhelmed, and disconnected from themselves and each other.
Tracy creates a safe, collaborative space where clients can slow down, process difficult emotions, strengthen communication, and rebuild emotional connection. Her work is especially helpful for couples who feel stuck in repetitive conflict cycles, emotionally distant, or overwhelmed by the demands of parenting and partnership.
