Emily is a Master’s student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at the University of the Cumberlands. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Washington College, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She is also a Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), which she earned through University of California San Diego Extension.
Emily’s style is warm and down to earth. She has been described by colleagues as wholehearted, authentic, and passionate about her work. She sees each client as a whole person, and enjoys learning about the unique set of strengths, life experiences, and cultural identities that shape how people see the world.
Emily has worked in healthcare for over 10 years, working in a variety of roles and specialties including Emergency Services, Refugee Health, and Reproductive Health. Given her background, Emily is passionate about the intersection of physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing.

Emily’s favorite pastime is cheering for the New York Yankees, both on TV and at baseball stadiums around the country. When there is not a game on, you can usually find her spending time outdoors, enjoying time with friends and family, or listening to a good podcast.
