Johannes Steffin is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, AAMFT approved Supervisor, and qualified Clinical Supervisor. Johannes obtained his master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southern Nazarene University.
With 10 years of counseling and clinical executive leadership experience, Johannes has expertise in a wide array of settings, including, acute psychiatric hospitalization, executive leadership, non-profit organization, child welfare, DSS, universities and schools.
Johannes has provided therapy to individuals, couples, and families struggling with anxiety, depression, diverse family dynamics, low self-esteem, sexual issues, grief/loss, LGBTQ+ issues, spiritual issues, addiction, marital discord, and much more. As an EMDR trained and person centered therapist, Johannes provides a safe environment for you to grow and heal.
Johannes offers sex therapy for both couples and individuals. Additionally, he has completed over 60 hours of intensive training in attachment-based couple’s therapy called Emotionally Focused Therapy (Externship and Core Skills.)
Johannes’s goal is to work with you to overcome obstacles or issues that are interfering with your progress and passion in life. Resolving conflict, repairing relationships, healing from past trauma, building self-esteem, reversing dysfunctional patterns all assist in reaching this goal. Change is not easy, but it is attainable and sustainable. Johannes provides non-judgmental, compassionate therapy specifically suited to your individual needs.
When not providing therapy, you can usually find Johannes playing with his 4 daughters, enjoying a walk with his wife or playing soccer.
Johannes currently practices in-person at our Greensboro location, and online for clients anywhere in NC.
