Sarai Kanich graduated from Liberty University, obtaining her MA in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is a fully licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has a passion for working with couples to better their relationships because she truly believes that, although people get hurt in relationships, it is also through relationships that people can heal. This belief has led to a commitment to walk alongside couples and/or individuals in order to help them achieve their relationship or personal goals, heal their hurts, and become a stronger couple/person.
Sarai takes a very warm, empathetic, and objective approach to therapy. She has experience counseling in Spanish as well as in English. She utilizes emotionally focused therapy, mindfulness, or cognitive-behavioral therapy, which allows her to help meet different client/couple’s needs. She has experience working with individuals, and has worked using a trauma-informed approach.
Sarai offers sex therapy for both couples and individuals. Additionally, she has completed over 60 hours of intensive training in attachment-based couple’s therapy called Emotionally Focused Therapy (Externship and Core Skills.)
For fun, Sarai enjoys being able to spend time with her husband and 3 young children doing outdoor activities, such as hiking, swimming, and playing soccer, and is an avid movie fan. She enjoys learning about different cultures and languages, and would love to be able to travel the world one day.
Sarai currently practices online.
