Tracy Russell joins us in Raleigh and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who graduated from the Joint Master of Social Work program at UNCG and NCA&T where she focused in multicultural clinical practice.
Tracy takes a “whole person,” strengths based approach when working with her clients. She works to create a welcoming, safe environment for fostering positive relationships with individuals and couples. Tracy spent her first 2 years of practice providing therapy to children and families using creative interventions with a focus on building communication skills and positive relationships within a family. She has a particular passion for parental mental health, and has started the process to become certified in Perinatal Mental Health. Tracy is interested in exploring relationship dynamics and attachment as they impact parenting and relationship between parents. Additionally, she has interest and experience working with teens and adults experiencing anxiety and depression.
Tracy offers sex therapy for both couples and individuals. Additionally, she has completed over 60 hours of intensive training in attachment-based couple’s therapy called Emotionally Focused Therapy (Externship and Core Skills.)
Fun Facts: In her down time, Tracy enjoys spending time with her
husband and 2 kids, rewatching favorite TV shows (like The West Wing!),
and cooking & baking for friends and family.
