Madeline Hansen is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) with a Master of Education degree with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Lynchburg.
Madeline knows that couples can grow together to find what works best with the relationship. She has started training in Emotionally Focused Therapy to help couples understand and change the patterns they are stuck in, and get on the same page. She believes that by sharing honest feelings, we can discover what makes each individual feel accepted, understood, and validated. Her passion and dedication to mental health includes a strong advocacy for healthy relationships, a reduction of stigma towards receiving help, and striving to provide a safe space for individuals to feel heard. Through building trust, exploring root problems, and maintaining empathetic communication. Madeline has worked with individuals recovering from substance use disorders, anxiety disorders, depression, and psychosis. She offers counseling and sex therapy to adults and couples and is LGBTQIA+ friendly.
Outside the counseling world, Madeline enjoys spending time with friends, engaging in outdoor activities, and caring for her houseplants and cat, Stella.
Madeline currently practices in-person at our Raleigh location, and online for clients anywhere in NC.
