Annie Wolljung is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, with a M.Ed. in Counseling and Development (Clinical Mental Health Counseling) from Winthrop University. Her graduate studies provided her opportunities to work with various populations, which instilled a drive to understand individuals and couples from a holistic approach, in order to empower and support them in reaching their goals.
Annie has a passion to support individuals and couples struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, chronic pain/illness, self-esteem, trauma, and relationship related issues. Annie has a special interest in teens, adults, couples, and is LGBTQAI-friendly. Annie primarily works from cognitive behavioral theory (CBT), acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), attachment theory, and empowerment theory. Annie offers sex therapy for both couples and individuals. Additionally, she has completed over 60 hours of intensive training in attachment-based couple’s therapy called Emotionally Focused Therapy (Externship and Core Skills.)
Annie acknowledges that everyone comes from different perspectives and circumstance. Therefore, she creates a supportive space through the use of empathy, non-judgement, and acceptance to meet each clients unique set of needs. Annie uses her creativity to create opportunities for insight and connection with her clients.
In her free time, Annie loves to go on long runs, cook, knit, and watch her favorite TV shows. She will take any opportunity to spend time with her family on the lake or travel with her best friends!
