Celeste Allen is currently enrolled in NC State University’s Counselor Education Program pursuing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She also has an undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Celeste is under supervision of one of our fully licensed therapists and provides lower cost counseling services.
Celeste approaches counseling from a person-centered perspective, recognizing the potential in every client with empathy and compassion. She considers clients to be the experts of their own lives and her role is to support and guide them in their journey. Celeste has special interest in working with individuals and couples from an inclusive and trauma-informed perspective drawing from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and attachment theory. Celeste has also received training in Brainspotting and plans to pursue a certification in Somatic Experiencing (SE) Therapy. Celeste is sex-positive and LGBTQIA+ affirming.
Celeste grew up in Rhode Island but has called North Carolina home for her entire adult life. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and traveling as much as possible. Celeste finds exercise, yoga, and therapy memes to be the best mood lifters. Her great loves include a partner, two daughters, two cats, and one ridiculously cute but naughty rabbit.
