Chenoah Hassan is pursuing her Master’s in Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she also completed her undergraduate studies in Psychology with a minor in Sexuality Studies. With a strong foundation in both psychology and social work, Chenoah is passionate about addressing issues related to sexual health, intimacy, relationships, and sexual trauma.
Chenoah has experience working with survivors of interpersonal violence and sexual assault, and she is dedicated to helping this population rediscover intimacy and navigate their healing journey. Her clinical interests extend to individuals facing sexual difficulties related to sexual dysfunctions, sexual fixations, and sexual arousal.
In her therapeutic practice, Chenoah is interested in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to facilitate meaningful, long-lasting change. Coming from a strengths-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed perspective, she believes that our thoughts and emotions significantly impact how we perceive ourselves and interact with others. Chenoah is committed to creating a welcoming, judgment-free space where clients can openly express themselves and engage in growth and healing.
Outside of her professional work, Chenoah enjoys cooking and experimenting with new recipes, spending time with her two beloved cats, and immersing herself in basketball season as a dedicated Tar Heel fan. She cherishes opportunities to travel back home to Chicago and spend quality time with her family.
