During her graduate career Susanne completed her internship providing trauma focused therapy to adults, adolescents, children, and families. She has experience addressing a variety of client concerns including anxiety, depression, self-harm, substance abuse, and family separation.
Susanne’s current clinical interests lie in working with couples and individuals experiencing life transition such as marriage, changes in relationship or family structure, and adjusting to college or a new career. She especially likes to work with LGBTQIA clients and young adults. Susanne also provides sex therapy to individuals and couples.
In therapy she draws from a combination of approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and psychodynamic. Her therapeutic approach is trauma informed, non-judgmental, and person-centered. Susanne emphasizes providing a safe and supportive environment for clients to navigate their therapeutic journey.
When not counseling, Susanne enjoys spending her free time with her husband and their menagerie of animals.
Susanne currently practices in-person at our Greensboro location, and online for clients anywhere in NC.
